Amaryllis

For my final thesis, I collaborated with two other students in my graduating class to create a short film that challenged us to push our skills and explore a more ambitious production. We combined live-action footage with CGI creatures, filming live plates along a local hiking trail in Savannah, Georgia, before integrating our creatures into the environment. The story follows three mystical creatures who discover an ancient ruin that transforms them into new versions of themselves. Creating three unique creatures while also building the surrounding environment was an ambitious undertaking, and the project presented many technical and creative challenges throughout production. Ultimately, it gave us the opportunity to develop our skills in creature creation, environment work, compositing, and storytelling.
